MAVERICK PROJECT ENQUIRY: SETUP NOTES

WHAT'S IN THE FOLDER
index.html The whole form: layout, map, park data and logic in one file.
leaflet/ The map library (Leaflet 1.9.4, open source), bundled so it
                        doesn't rely on a CDN.
photos/ Park photos from the Maverick map, used for the nearby parks
                        list on the thank-you screen.
google-apps-script/ Code.gs and SETUP.txt: saves each enquiry to Google Drive and
emails an alert. This part goes into Google, not on the website.

THE QUESTIONS
1 Project type 2 Stage 3 Site and council
4 Location: a satellite view of the site appears once they give an address, road,
park, postcode, town or their location. They can mark out the site boundary by
tapping its corners, and the map can go full screen.
5 Budget 6 Story and files 7 Contact details (with optional socials)
Then a thank-you screen with a Share with a friend button and a map of the
  nearest Maverick parks.

SAVING ENQUIRIES (do this first)
Follow google-apps-script/SETUP.txt. It takes about 10 minutes and gives you a web
address ending in /exec. Paste it into submitUrl in CONFIG (near the bottom of
index.html). Until then the form works but only writes enquiries to the browser
  console.

Each enquiry then creates, in your "Website enquiries" Drive folder:
a folder named by date, place and name, e.g. "2026-10-22 1324 Christchurch, Jo Bloggs"
      - a Google Doc with every answer, links, an aerial photo of the site and the
        nearest Maverick parks
      - any plans or photos they uploaded (up to 10 MB each, 25 MB in total)
      - the site boundary they drew, as a KML file for Google Earth
a row in the "Enquiries log" sheet
an alert email with buttons to open the enquiry, the folder and the site boundary.
Replying to the alert replies to the customer.

PUTTING IT LIVE ON enquire.maverickskateparks.co.uk
Squarespace can't host this folder, so use a free static host. Either works:
Netlify: app.netlify.com/drop, drag the maverick-enquiry folder on.
Cloudflare Pages: Create a project, Direct upload, upload the folder.
Then in the host, add the custom domain enquire.maverickskateparks.co.uk. It shows
a CNAME record to add. In Squarespace: Domains, maverickskateparks.co.uk, DNS,
add a CNAME with host "enquire" pointing to the address the host gives you.
The host adds https automatically, which the location button needs.

Linking from the main site: point a "Start a project" button on the Get a Park page
to https://enquire.maverickskateparks.co.uk. It fills the screen and works on phones.
To show it inside a Squarespace page instead, use a Code block with a full-height
iframe, and allow location and copying or those buttons won't work:
    <iframe src="https://enquire.maverickskateparks.co.uk" allow="geolocation; clipboard-write"
            style="width:100%;height:100vh;border:0"></iframe>
The location button only works on an https page, not when index.html is opened
  straight from your computer.

OTHER SETTINGS (CONFIG in index.html)
shareUrl The page the "Share with a friend" pop-up shares (WhatsApp, email,
Facebook, X or copy link): maverickskateparks.co.uk/getaskatepark
projectsUrl Where "Find more on the map" goes: maverickskateparks.co.uk/map
    maxFileMB / maxTotalMB
Upload limits (10 MB per file, 25 MB in total).
    rateLow / rateHigh
The design and build cost per m² (750 and 950). The top of the size
range shown on the budget step never goes above what £750/m² buys.
placeSearchUrl Road, address and park search (Photon, free, built on
OpenStreetMap; fair use, no key). Set to '' to turn it off.
    satelliteTiles / satelliteAttribution
The satellite imagery (Esri World Imagery, must show the Esri credit,
already on the map). For a busy site, set up a free ArcGIS Location
Platform account and add its key, or swap in Mapbox or Google.
satelliteLabels Road and place names drawn over the imagery (also Esri). [] turns
                    them off.
simpleMap The plain grey map on the thank-you screen (Esri, light and dark).
Postcode and place-name search use postcodes.io (free, no key). A built-in list of
about 4,400 towns is used if it can't be reached. Fonts load from Google Fonts.

WHAT THE FORM SENDS (for reference)
One JSON message: contact (name, organisation, email, phone, socials), location
(name, town, what they typed, coordinates), the site boundary as GeoJSON with its area
in m², nearest Maverick parks, project type and any "Other" description, stage, site,
council and involvement, budget with the size range shown, their story, uploaded files
(base64) and a lead score: Early, Warm or Hot. A hidden "website" field catches spam
bots and the script ignores anything where it is filled in.

UPDATING PARKS
The park list is the same data as the Maverick map, copied on 9 October 2026. If parks
are added to the map, the data near the top of the script in index.html needs refreshing
and new photos adding to photos/.
